“Too Good for Drugs and Violence” is a drug abuse and violence prevention education program designed to stop drug use and violence before it begins. The program equips elementary and middle school children with the skills for resisting peer pressure, and saying "No" to tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
Children are provided with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to avoid being swept into drug use and violence. The unique program utilizes a specially trained uniformed law enforcement officer to teach the comprehensive lesson plan.
In 2006-2007 school year, the program has educated 1,000 fifth, sixth and seventh graders, and has provided safety tips to over 4,500 kindergarten through fourth grade students.
