The SAN GABRIEL POLICE DEPARTMENT is a progressive full-service police department consisting of 55 sworn officers, 14 non-sworn personnel, a reserve police officer force, a police explorer post and senior volunteers. Opportunities for varied assignments such as uniformed patrol, adult and juvenile detectives, motorcycle traffic enforcement, traffic investigations, court liaison, Special Enforcement Team (vice and narcotics), full-time bicycle patrol, School Resource Officer, D.A.R.E. and Regional Drug Taskforce are part of the department's programs to stimulate individual career growth and development.  Every employee is highly trained in the police department's computer information systems that include both fixed and wireless networks.
